Stefan Kollar

In 1979 Mr. Kollar graduated from Moscow Electric Technical Institute of Communications, faculty of Radio Communications and Broadcasting. He started his professional career as head of the antenna system group at the largest radio broadcasting station in Czechoslovakia.

From 1982 he worked for the Czechoslovak Ministry of Communications as Assistant to the First Deputy Minister and in 1986 was appointed Head of Operations of the Ministry's Telecommunications Department. Under his guidance an automated system for operations monitoring of the telecom network of Czechoslovakia was put into operation, and later an automated network operation data processing system.

From 1988 to 1992 Mr. Kollar was head of the communication industry working group responsible for the development of the quality metrics system for the operations of the Czechoslovak telecom network.

In 1992, Mr. Kollar joined the Intersputnik Directorate as Operations Expert. From 1995 - Counsellor of the Operations Department. In January 1998 Mr. Kollar was appointed Sales Director. From July 2005 - Commercial Director responsible for the sales of Intersputnik’s satellite capacity, direct contacts with customers, marketing and advertising. His was also in charge of public and mass media relations.

In April 2006, the XXXIV session of the Board elected Stefan Kollar Deputy Director General. In April 2010, the joint XXXVIII session of the Board and 11th meeting of the Operations Committee re-elected him to hold this senior position for another four years. As Deputy Director General Stefan Kollar oversees the commercial department, technical and finance divisions and is in charge of satellite projects Intersputnik is involved in. Stefan Kollar is responsible for Intersputnik’s general business development.
